Barbara (Barb) Delaney is a teacher in the Doobim classroom. Barbara grew up in Boston but finished high school on the Cape, a place that still has her heart.
She graduated from St. Michael’s College in Vermont with a degree in English and Elementary Education, and taught fourth, seventh, and eighth grades before starting a family. She lived in Michigan for a couple of years, but missed the ocean and returned to the east coast, living in several locations before settling in Stow with her family.
When her youngest son was in preschool, Barbara started subbing at Steppingstones School in Stow and soon joined the staff, staying for 11 years and only leaving to pursue another love: editing, which was her career for 15 years.
Barbara has three grown children and three granddaughters. In her “free” time, she loves spending time with her family, especially enjoying time with her “littles.” She is an avid sewer and quilter and loves a good book! She also loves editing and continues to do freelance work. Barbara loves New England and all it has to offer, but her favorite place to be is at the beach . . . any time of year.
