Director of the CBE Early Learning Center
Wendy Damsky is the Director of the CBE Early Learning Center. Wendy has Director II certification from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. She has a BS degree from SUNY Geneseo in Speech Pathology and Audiology and an MS degree from Syracuse University in Child and Family Studies focusing on Child Development and Family Therapy. Her experience serving young children and their families includes her work at Parkside Preschool as a Speech Therapist and Director. She worked for 12 years as the Lead Pre-K Teacher at the Jewish Preschool of Lexington, and then as Interim Director there. At Thom Mystic Valley Early Intervention, she served as Group Coordinator, where her work included developing and managing many successful developmental playgroups while mentoring staff and supporting clinicians in a classroom/playgroup setting, interacting with parents, developing curriculum and meeting state regulations. She also provided direct individualized support to infants, toddlers, and their caregivers as a developmental specialist and intake facilitator which included: evaluating children, creating Individualized Family Service Plans collaboratively with parents/guardians and their service coordinators.
Wendy grew up in Utica, New York and has lived in Syracuse and Rochester NY as well as North Carolina and Florida before moving to Lexington in 2000. She and her husband Scott have 2 adult children Jacob and Anna. Wendy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling in her free time.
