Namita Chaudhuri, teacher in our Kofim (preschool) Class, feels delighted and privileged to be part of CBE ELC. Namita has been working since 2003 in this facility when it was under the auspices of the JCC (Jewish Community Center). During that time, Namita worked with toddlers, preschoolers and pre-kindergarteners.
Namita also taught cooking in ELC’s Enrichment Program, to many aspiring three and four year old chefs. In addition, she also introduced yoga to her Kofim children; the feedback was so positive that Namita added it to her curriculum. Namita’s passion is to build a Reggio curriculum based on children’s interests, and she encourages them to make things with recycled materials. Overall, Namita has thoroughly enjoyed working with all of the ELC’s staff members and connecting not only with the many children she’s taught, but with their wonderful families too.
Namita was born in India and her mother tongue is Bengali. She immigrated to the United States in 1992. Namita obtained her BA with Honors in education from India. While working at CBE, Namita was able to obtain her Lead Teacher, Infant Toddler, Director I and Director II Certifications.
Namita lives in Acton with her husband, and they have 2 grown up children, Arpita and Amlan. Namita enjoys hiking, walking, doing yoga, gardening, listening to Indian classical music and cooking. Her recent hobby is to make food art with fruits and vegetables!!
Namita is looking forward to another wonderful year associated with the staff, children and family of CBE ELC.
