Our CBE Early Learning Center was lovingly established in 2013 by a group of educators, parents, and congregants who were committed to provide an excellent early child care and education program at Congregation Beth Elohim after the JCCs of Greater Boston closed their center in Acton.
In the fall of 2012, the Preschool Advisory Council was formed with a mission of creating a community-oriented preschool where children of all backgrounds would learn, play, and thrive while integrating Jewish values and traditions into a play-based curriculum. The passions of the committee members, who had diverse backgrounds in regular education, special education, law, social work, and other disciplines, were evident as the group worked diligently to create a program of the highest quality.
In the summer of 2013, we opened with an experienced director and teachers who were both new to our program and who came from the former JCC staff. ELC is energized by many of the well established traditions and practices from JCC, as well as a fresh perspective in tune with the needs of our current and prospective families. Congregation Beth Elohim is proud to offer a preschool of the highest quality with the availability of extended hours to fit the needs of today’s single and dual-income households to the families of Acton, Boxborough, Concord, Maynard, Sudbury, Stow, Westford and other communities.
